Returns & Satisfaction Guarantee
Buying grooming goods online can be tricky—especially when you’re choosing a scent. The best way to explore the lineup before committing to full-size products is our Soap Sample Pack.
For your safety, ingredients are listed on each product page. If you have sensitivities to any listed ingredient, please do not use the product. If you’re unsure, we recommend a patch test on a small area before full use. Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs.
1. The Dapper Yankee Scent Match Guarantee
Our "Safety Net"
We stand behind our products and want you to feel confident and smell legendary. If you try an eligible item and the scent simply isn’t for you, don’t ship it back.
- Eligible Items (Full-Size Only): Bar Soap, Deodorant, Shampoo Bar, Conditioner Bar, Hand & Body Wash, Hand & Body Lotion, Solid Cologne.
- How it Works: * Contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the scent you’d like to switch to.
- We’ll create a replacement order for the same item type (equal or lesser value) in a different scent.
- We’ll email you a payment link for shipping. Once paid, the replacement is released for processing.
- Shipping for Replacements: * U.S. Orders: $7.99 flat-rate shipping.
- International Orders: Customer pays actual shipping cost. Pro-tip: We can add your replacement to a future order so you only pay shipping once!
- Limits: Limited to one (1) Scent Match Guarantee per household. Not valid on sample packs. We reserve the right to deny requests in cases of suspected abuse.
What to do with the original item? We ask that you gift the “mismatched” scent to a friend or family member—pass the Dapper Yankee word along!
2. Standard Returns (Unopened Items)
If you changed your mind or ordered the wrong item, we accept returns on unopened and unused products in their original packaging.

To initiate a return: Please email support@dapperyankee.com with your order number and the reason for the return.

Shipping fees are non-refundable, and return shipping costs are your responsibility. Dapper Yankee does not provide return labels. We strongly recommend using a shipping service with tracking to ensure your return is received.
- A 10% restocking fee will be applied to all returned items, deducted from your refund. This fee is based on the original sale price of the individual product(s) being returned.
3. Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on items once they have been opened or items that are prone to contamination.
Non-returnable items include:
- Opened conditioner bars (if the shrink wrap is removed)
- Opened beard care (oils, balms, butters).
- Opened liquid goods (face wash, toner, cream, serum, beard wash).
- Solid Colognes
- Soap and Beard Oil sample packs (Final Sale).
- Dapper Swag Collection items (e.g., shirts, hats, hoodies) as these are custom-printed and all sales are final. Please double-check sizing before ordering.
> Note: Some opened items may still qualify for the Scent Match Guarantee if they are listed as eligible in Section 1.
4. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or we sent the wrong item, that’s on us.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
- We will replace the item at no cost to you.
5. ShipAid Package Protection (U.S. Only)
Dapper Yankee is proud to partner with ShipAid, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions. Although Dapper Yankee has no control over your order once it leaves our hands, we do offer a package protection option for U.S. orders that are lost, stolen, or damaged during shipment. The ShipAid option is automatically selected for you at checkout. If you would like to opt out of this protection, simply decline the coverage before placing your order.
What it Covers: ShipAid is an optional service that provides coverage for delivery issues, including:
- Lost Packages: Your package is considered lost if the tracking information shows it hasn't been delivered, or if it has been marked as "delivered" but you have not received it after 7 business days.
- Stolen Packages: Your package is considered stolen if the tracking information shows it has been delivered but you believe it was stolen from your delivery location.
- Damaged Packages: Your package arrives with a damaged or broken item.
What is Not Covered: The following exclusions apply to the ShipAid coverage:
· Shipping Costs: ShipAid covers the cost of your order, but it does not cover shipping costs. If a claim is made a payment link for the cost of shipping will be sent to the customer and must be paid before the replacement can be shipped.
· Incorrect Recipient Information: Claims will not be covered if the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, resulting in a failed delivery. This includes issues where the package is returned to the sender.
· Replacement Orders: Replacement orders are not protected under the ShipAid Package protection. If you have a problem receiving your replacement order, please contact us at support@dapperyankee.com and we will work toward a resolution.
Abuse & Fraudulent Claims: A claim will be considered abusive or fraudulent if a customer intentionally misrepresents or provides false information to obtain a refund or replacement for an item that was successfully delivered, was not lost or stolen, or was not damaged. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Filing multiple claims for packages that were marked as delivered and received.
- Misrepresenting the condition of an item to claim damage.
- Reporting a package as "stolen" or "lost" when it was, in fact, received.
- Using false or misleading information to file a claim.
Consequences of Abuse: Engaging in fraudulent or abusive behavior may result in severe consequences, including:

Denial of Future Claims: Any future claims for package protection will be automatically denied.

Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel and refund any future orders placed by the customer.

Permanent Ban: The customer will be permanently banned from making future purchases on our website.
- Reporting to Authorities: In cases of severe or repeated abuse, we may report the activity to the relevant authorities or law enforcement agencies.
By using our website and purchasing Dapper Yankee products, you agree to these terms. We are committed to a fair and honest relationship with our customers, and we expect the same in return.
Please Note: If you decline the ShipAid package protection, Dapper Yankee is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. We assume no responsibility for packages after they have been received by the shipping carrier. Please reference your tracking number and contact your local post office / courier for the most up to date information regarding your package.
Dapper Yankee does not provide package protection on recurring subscription orders at this time.
No refunds or replacements will be issued for delays in shipping by the carrier.
If you make a purchase through the Shop App, Instagram App, or Facebook App, we do offer limited package protection at no extra cost. The claim request must be submitted to support@dapperyankee.com and include your name, order number, and details of the incident. After the Dapper Yankee team reviews the request and determines that the issue is eligible for limited package protection, a claim will be filed. When a claim is filed, it requires proof of purchase and a signed affidavit by the customer. Claims may take 6-10 weeks to process. After a claim is processed, a replacement order will be sent; however, no refunds are provided. If a product is out of stock, the customer will be notified and may choose another product at equal price. Stolen packages are NOT covered. Customers who believe their package was stolen will need to file a police report and file a claim with USPS.
6. International Orders
We do not accept returns or exchanges on any products shipped internationally. If you have an issue with your international order, please email support@dapperyankee.com and we’ll work with you to find a resolution.
Dapper Yankee does not provide package protection on international orders at this time.
