Caring for yourself, whether it's moisturizing your skin or choosing a stylish outfit, doesn't make you any less masculine. In fact, many women find confidence and self-care attractive.
I've always been a believer in making a good impression. Back in the early 2000s, I embraced the "metrosexual man" trend and experimented with various grooming products. However, I soon realized that many of these products were more harmful than helpful.
Like many guys, I struggled with skin issues and a dry scalp. Despite trying countless products, I couldn't find a long-term solution. Frustrated, I decided to investigate the ingredients in my grooming routine.
To my surprise, I discovered that the sulfates and parabens in my soaps, shampoos, and moisturizers were likely contributing to my problems. It was time to seek alternatives.
While there were plenty of natural products for women, options for men were limited. Nevertheless, I found a few brands that worked well. After switching to natural products, my skin and scalp issues cleared up. It was a revelation!

I knew I could do better. I wanted to create a line of grooming products that met my specific needs and exceeded expectations. I envisioned a brand that was effective, stylish, and focused on customer satisfaction.

Our History
2015
The Journey Begins
Christian became passionate about educating his friends and family about the benefits of using natural products. However, even with the available options, he felt something was missing. The scents were often too weak, the textures weren't quite right, and certain products were difficult to find.
Little did Christian know that his personal journey would soon put him on a path to becoming a leader in the natural soap and men's personal care product space.
2021
Dapper Yankee Launch
Dapper Yankee opened their online store in October 2021. The initial offering was nine natural soaps, two shampoo bars, and three beard oils, all in invigorating scents for men.
Outside of Dapper Yankee's production team, Christian personally handled everything from product design, labeling, marketing, and order fulfillment/shipping, and customer service. In a sense, he was a one-man-show.
2022
Natural Deodorant Release
In less than 8 months after opening their virtual doors, natural and aluminum-free deodorants were introduced. Initially offered in only three scents, their deodorants received rave reviews and are now available in over 18 different scents!
2023
Natural Hand & Body Lotion Release
With so few options for lotions for men, Dapper Yankee felt that this was an area that could really benefit guys.
Dapper Yankee developed a lotion that was non-greasy, absorbed quickly, and was available in several of their most popular scents.
2024
Release of the All New Beard Care Line
When Dapper Yankee launched there were a few different beard oils available. Although the formula was good, there was some room for improvement.
The new formula now includes skin-nourishing ostrich oil, which is lightweight and non-greasy, and can help soothe irritated skin. The current lineup is offered in eight incredible scents.
2025 July
Dapper Prime Age Defense Skincare
Recognizing that men’s skin needs specific, high-performance care as it ages, we launched the Dapper Prime line. Formulated with premium ingredients like Green Tea and Hyaluronic Acid, this collection provides an effective, no-nonsense anti-aging routine designed specifically for the modern man.
2025 October
The Move to Troy, Ohio
To support our rapid growth and expanding product lines, we transitioned our operations into a dedicated warehouse facility in Troy, Ohio. This move allowed us to bring our fulfillment and quality control under one roof in the heart of the Miami Valley, providing the space needed to scale our "Small-Town Heart" to a national audience.
2025 November
The Launch of Signature Spray Colognes
After over a year of formulation and testing, we officially released our line of Spray Colognes. We wanted to offer men a sophisticated, long-lasting fragrance experience that stayed true to our natural roots. Each scent was designed to boost confidence and provide a unique masculine profile you won't find on a department store shelf.
2026 January
Natural Hand & Body Wash Release
We kicked off the new year by bringing our fan-favorite scents to a liquid format. Our Hand & Body Washes were developed to provide a rich, moisturizing lather without the harsh sulfates and synthetic detergents found in big-box brands, ensuring a premium shower experience from head to toe.
2026 March
In-Person Shopping & Warehouse Lobby
In March 2026, we officially opened our warehouse lobby in Troy for in-person shopping. This milestone allowed our local community to experience the "smell test" firsthand, browse our full collection, and see exactly where their grooming essentials are handcrafted and packaged.
