This soap has medium grit - and that's plenty. The heavy grit soaps are too hard on the skin. This one feels and smells fabulous - one of the best soaps for men that I've ever used!!!

The scent is top shelf. Smells like a fall orchard tour in the morning and taking a bourbon tour in the afternoon. More sweet than wicked. The lotion, just like all the lotions for Dapper, is hydrating and leaves my skin soft and smooth.
