Had a plastic version of one of these recently lose a few of the spikes, so this is just what I was looking for to upgrade.
Excellent product not only keeps the soap from slipping out of your hands but also keeps the soap dry so it doesn't get mushy and last longer.
This works well with the Soap Saver, but I think a refillable bag to hang in the shower is more practical. May not use it long term.
It really helps to hold the soap in my hand. Great product from Dapper Yankee.

The LAST soap clutch, you’ll EVER need!! Yes, it’s $20, but how many of those plastic ones have we bought?? This soap clutch is built great, easy to sink into a bar of DY soap, and lasts for eternity!!

To be honest, I was first skeptical of this little piece of plastic. After trying this little wonder, I was amazed at how well the clutch grips and airs out. This is excellent for slippage as well. The grooves on the back align with your fingers for a perfect grip every time.
This little gadget is handy. There is definitely less soap mess and better soap grip.
I'm a fan of the original plastic soap standle, so I had to grab this. It's everything good about the soap standle but even better now because it's made of steel. I would be very shocked if the spikes ever break off of this. Nice!
Keeps the soap in a better condition constantly
I wasn't expecting to like this as I thought it would keep me from working up a good lather in my hands, but, I was wrong. I hate dropping soap and, since using this product, I haven't dropped a single bar of Dapper Yankee.

The stainless shower stable is muy bueno. It's held up and sinks into the bar soap easily. Looking forward to forever considering it's stainless steel.

This was designed for me, the world's worst fumbler of bar soap. Nothing like having the bar of soap act like a skateboard in a swimming pool, fly out of the shower across the bathroom floor.
Helps with the grip
I have sensitive skin and traditional soaps and deodorants leave me red and itchy. Now that I've found Dapper Yankee, I'll never go back. The soaps are leave me clean and smelling great. I work hard and play hard and the DY deodorant is up the the task of keeping smelling great.
Easier way of drying the soap compared to the saver. Also adds some extra grip to the bar.
This has two functions. First while showering it serves as a gripper so you don’t drop the soap while you are scrubbing up. It also doubles as a soap saver, allowing the soap to dry after showering by keeping it up off a surface and allows the soap to dry. Ingenious!!! Easy to apply and move to a different soap if you wish.

The wooden block is a must..it gives you a spot in the shower to place your bars at..
The soap saver and standle pack is the greatest way to save your soap for a good price together. The standle has a cool design of black and blue colors. Helps with holding onto the soap. The fine cut wood of the soap savor with the dapper Yankee logo helps your soap breathe and dry out. Together they make a great pair. I recommend this product for your dapper Yankee soap.
I like the Soap Standle. It pushes easily into handmade soaps since they are much softer than triple milled soap; I am not sure how it would work in hard bars of soap though.
As a handle, it is quite small, but as a stand it works great. I like using it in combination with a soap saver since the Standle keeps the soap from sticking to whatever surface you put it on. Overall, recommended!

Why is my soap melting rapidly?
Since natural soaps are made primarily of oils and butters, they do not fare well when sitting in water. This is why it's important to use a soap tray or a Dapper Yankee Soap Clutch to allow water to move away from your soap and allow it to dry between uses.
I've been using a wooden soap tray, but my soap still melts quickly before turning into mush. Why is this happening?
There is a certain level of care that needs to be taken with wooden soap trays. It is recommended that you clean your soap tray weekly and allow it time to dry.
Leaving a wooden soap tray in standing water can cause the tray to become waterlogged. When this happens, water is absorbed into the wood and then that moisture is transferred to your soap.
When a wooden soap tray is waterlogged you have two options: 1) allow the soap tray to completely dry out to the point where you no longer feel any moisture, or 2) replace it with a new one.
The new Dapper Yankee Soap Saver is curved to help prevent the tray from sitting in water and it is less likely to become waterlogged.
What are some other ways I can extend the life of my natural soap?
In addition to using a Dapper Yankee Soap Saver and/or a Dapper Yankee Soap Clutch, you can cut the soap bar in half and only use half at a time.
